A player must not use equipment or wear anything that is dangerous to him or herself or another player (including any kind of jewelry). The Law Of The Game is enforced internationally across all ages in FIFA.

Have ears piereced between seasons and allow time to heal. Earrings CANNOT be worn in soccer and must be removed prior to practice or match. NO EXCEPTIONS AT ANY AGE!

Players should not wear any jewelry during a game or practice. Any metallic hair clip, bracelet, watch or ring can scratch or cut another player. Earrings and necklaces can get caught and pulled off. If a player can't removed a ring, or wearing a medical bracelet, it should be taped up. Non- prescription or non-sport approved eyewear is not allowed (regular sunglasses). Players are responsible for removing unsafe items. If the referee notices it, he or she can stop the game ask the player to remove it.

Shoes and shin guards must be SAFE. (The referee makes this decision). Shin guards must be worn under the socks and provide adequate protection.

A player on the field who is wearing something dangerous, or whose uniform is not complete, can be instructed to leave the field to correct the problem. The player can return to the field only when the referee agrees that the problem has been corrected.
